I have a client with a fairly simple configuration consisting of an NT 4.0 Server (SP6a). Periodically, the server hangs with a BSOD reporting “Hardware Malfunction” and “Contact the System Administrator” There is one FAQ in the Microsoft Knowledge Base dealing with this particular message but the T/S steps only deal with this happening on bootup. Since the message event is random and the system reboots fine after chkdsk runs, I can’t seem to isolate the problem. I’ve tried swapping memory,SCSI cards, DAT drives, etc. w/no luck. Event viewer logs blissfully report all apps and processes normal with the exception of a single “dirty shutdown” message when it crashes. (duh) Any ideas?
TIA
