Burned CD not playing in DVD player

Hello Everyone:
I burned a CD of family pix with Nero using a CD_Rewritable drive. I tried to play it with my DVD player and it comes up unrecognizable disk. I tried it on my son’s DVD player and the same result. Any ideas out there. Thanks
