Burning CD’s under Windows XP

Windows XP does not use Direct CD but has burning functionallity built in. However, unlike Direct CD it does not give the option to re-organize the disk into standard CD-ROM format.

Questions: Can CD’s burnt using XP be read on a standard CD-ROM?If not, how can I produce a CD under XP that can be read on a standard CD-ROM?
