Can FDisk be reversed?

Hi, I have been asked if I can retrieve the data on a hard disk that has been inadvertently FDisked. Does anybody know if there is some cheap software or technique I can use to do this. The software needs to be cheap, as it is personal data and the user does not want to pay a lot!
