can XP access files in 98SE, vice versa

I have 3 PCs in a simple LAN using Win98SE. If I were to upgrade 1 PC to WinXP, will I still be able to access files (documents, saved gamefiles, etc.) from the 2 other PCs? and vice versa? Can I still play multiplayer games in a mixed WinXP-Win98SELAN?
