Can XP Pro be installed with NT Server?

Have a PII IBM Netfinity 3000 server with 2 mirrored hds – the mirror is broken. The machine is no longer our “server” – has been replaced with a SBS2000 server on a Dell 2300. Want to turn the netfinity into a workstation that will join the SBS2000 domain by hopefully loading XP Pro on one of the hard drives, while keeping the data from the old NT server on the other. Is this possible? Have tried to put on NT 4.0 workstation on one of the drives after the mirror was broken. Couldn’t findthe Pro Server adapter driver. The whole thing is a mess now. Won’t recognize the admin password, so an operating system needs to be reinstalled to get it to work. Reinstall NT Server? Install XP Pro on the drive which had NT Workstation on it?Throw it away? Clearly we are over our head. Any help would be appreciated.
