Ok so here’s the problem. I bought a DVD player/burner (dual layer + and – R etc..) by LG for my father for christmas. I figured since I’ve been able to burn my home movies and other dvd’s from my dvd player on my laptop to my external dvd burner at home, I could do the same process using his already existing internal dvd player in his home computer after adding the dvd player / burner I bought him. So we made the DVD player the master, and placed the DVD player / Burner as the slave beneath the master. Everything is connected properly. And the DVD player / Burner works fine, but the regular DVD player we had before doesn’t. The mouse freezes and then the rest of the computer does until I take any DVD out of the player. But I have none of these problems using just the player/burner. Now we checked with friends who have two dvd players/burners in a similar setup like ours and they have no problems. However a techie we talked to said you can’t do what we’re doing. However how could our friends do it with the two burners? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or at least an explanation.
P.S. Just to make sure I’ve made myself clear, there are two internal dvd players. BUt one is also a burner. I want to put a dvd in the one that is just a player, then burn it to the other internal dvd player/burner that will have a blank disk inside. One note is that the company that makes just the internal DVD player is Creative. But the internal DVD player/burner is LG.
