Cannot connect to the Internet!

by tink! . Updated 20 years, 7 months ago

I’m not even going to go into what I’ve already done to get to this point..that would be far too exhausting. So…here’s where I’m at:

I have the new server with SBS 2003 connected to the Netopia router via the 3com NIC and plugged into our network via the integrated Broadcom? NIC. I have a cpl of new client workstations setup and are able to access the shared drives on the server.

The server and clients can both access the Netopia router’s status page. But neither can access any webpages.

I have a feeling that I’ve got the DHCP and IP addresses all mixed up for 1 or both of the net adapters. (Partially because I had a Firewall attached too, but I’ve now removed that just to see if I can get the basic Internet connection to work! FYI: when the Firewall was attached I managed to get the server to access the Internet but clients could NOT access the Internet BUT COULD access the shared drives on the server)

Please help me straighten this out! If need be, start me from scratch.
Thanks in advance!
Tink
