Cannot delete a public folder in Outlook

In the Exchange Admin I have given myself owner permissions on a public folder. I then open Outlook 2000 and when I attempt to delete the folder i get the following message “Unable to delete this folder. Some items could not be deleted They were either moved or already deleted or access denied” MS’s website mentioned something about having multiple folders selected but I am only selecting one. Has anyone encountered this
