When attempting to DOWNLOAD a file from TechRepublic, my computer goes to a new browser window and sits there doing nothing. My system is a GATEWAY 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 Laptop with Windows XP Home Edition. Browser is MS IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.021108-1929, SP1, Q810847, Q813951, Q813489, Q330994. ZoneAlarm Pro version 3.7.159. Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router. Linksys Wireless-G PCMCIA card.
I experience no problems with application updates such as Microsoft Updates, Norton AntiVirus Updates,or the downloading of files from other sites. The quirk is that I have another system on my network running Windows 98 Second Edition that downloads TechRepublic files just fine. So I tried the same wired setup with the XP system and no downloads. The AlarmZone Pro firewalls on both systems are setup exactually the same from what I can see.
Any ideas?
