cannot find win.com unable to continue

Hi,
I am running W98 and recieve this error on boot. cannot find win.com unable to continue loading windows. I want to replace win.com with a new copy. I want to extract it from the W98 CD. I look up old info on Tech Rep and the instructions to extract and rename dont seem to work. I am looking to you to ype out the exact command I will use to copy win.cnf and then rename it win.com. I also need you to tell me where to extract and rename it.
