Cannot print to LPT1

I am running a Compaq Deskpro 2000, Windows NT4, Service pack 4. Was printing to three network printers connected to a print server without any problem. Connected a HP Deskjet 890 CXi to the parralel port. When logged on as the administrator it prints to the LPT port, when logged on as the user it does not. Tried removing all printers and just installing the HP on LPT1. Changed permissions to give user full control. No Luck.

Gives message –

Cannont print to LPT1: for Document ___: Thenetwork path was not found.

Other users do not have this problem.
