Cannot remove W98 mapped drives

Have a number of W95 PCs which have drive mappings which I want to remove permanently. (All problem PCs were created from an image). PCs in question are connected to heterogenous network (Netware 5.1/NT 4 Domain). Primary login and scripts are executed by Novell client. If the mappings are removed using the Windows disconnect option they return when the system is logged back in. The mappings are not in the Novell login script as other users in the same container do not have this problem.
