Cannot remove workstation from domain

Got a W2K workstation with an image that was done in another NT domain. now i want it to join my NT domain but the WS cannot unjoin from it?s former domain (as i got no more access to it). error message: “cannot unjoin from domain xxx. The revision level is unknown.” any idea how to add this WS to a new domain or workgroup??
