cannot see,use CD ROM

I looked up previous answers on this subject:cannot see,use CD ROM

I tried both these fixes,
-remove mf key-local machine\enum

-delete primary /secondary ide controllers (with exclamation yellow mark

neither worked,so I assume,I can use the wins 2000 pro,partition,to re install W 98 on the other partition ?

I have a dual boot,but now unable see,use CD ROM on W98 partition,OS,but all is seen on the wins 2000 pro,partition,
