I have a hard drive that was pulled from a PC that has gone bad. It appears that the OS on the drive is bad, ie: blue screen of death. I need to access the files on the hard drive however; the user put a password on his account. I have tried putting the hard drive in my pc as a secondary drive, when I do this I can see the drive but when I try to access the users primary account it tells me that access is denied. I know that it?s because he has a password on the account. I know that if I could boot to the OS with the hard drive that I can go to safe mode and delete the password, but the OS is bad so I can?t do that.
Is there a way to remove the password? Like I said, I can see everything there, windows files, and all that, but no access to pass worded account when installed as a slave or secondary drive.
Please help!
