Currently I am using Window NT 4.0 workstations on compaq armada m700 notebook. While using half-way, it would suddenly disconnected from the network drives on my server. But after a while, it suddenly connect back to my network drives again. My workstations is using DHCP. This only happens to me but has never happens to my collesgue who sharing the same network. I have checked with “ipconfig /all” command and the setting looks ok. I have tested and changed the network path. I even format and re-installed the software for the notebook. When the notebook is disconnect from the network drives, I am able to ping to the Gateway and the PC within the same segment. But it failed when I ping my server at another segment, it prompt me “Request Timeout”. My server is using Windows NT 4.0. Kindly please any solutions or recommendations. Thank you.
