Can’t add domain user to local group

I’ve added a new laptop to my network. I’ve joined the machine to the domain, logged on as differnet users and can surf the network.

The problem is that I’m trying to add a domain user to the power users group of the laptop. I can see all the domain members and groups, but when I attempt to add any of them I’m getting an error message “The domain does not exist or cannot be contacted. ”

Has anyone else had this problem ?
