Can’t authenticate – PDC w/ multiple IPs

by rong . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

We have leased a subnet of Internet IPs from AT&T, unfortunatly since we have been buying so many new computers, we have just run out of IP addresses. We are looking to change providers and upgrade our fractional T1 (256k) to a full 1.55mb T1 and get a larger pool of IPs. In the mean time, I’m trying to set our “non-production” machines, such as our Training Room PCs, to 10.0.0.xxx addresses. All of our servers were set to the ips we had leased from AT&T (216.xxx.xxx.xxx) so I went into their tcp/ip properties under advanced and added 10.0.0.xxx with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 to each server. The training room pcs can connect to our MS SQL server fine with the 10.0.0.xxx address, but my problem is that they can no longer authenticate to ourPDC. For now I have added IPX to both the training pcs and the PDC, but I’d much rather have them working in TCP/IP. Any ideas?
