Can’t delete .exe file

I think I’ve read all similar discussions but am still stuck. I’m using XP PRO(sp2)on my home networked PC. Can?t delete a file ?Firegirls Public (partial name)?exe? on a second data-only drive. Have confirmed I have full admin privileges but am unable to delete under Safe Mode or msconfig Diagnostic Startup. Can see services running using ?Hack This? and services.msg but I have no clue about which one is using the file. Have even searched the registry for key words found in the file name but no luck. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
