Can’t Display Folder Properties

Win2k Pro logged on as Administrator. When I right click (in Windows explorer) on any folder and choose properties no dialog box displays. Nothing happens. If I right click a file and choose properties the dialog does display. How can I get back theproperties dialog box for folders?
