can’t find gm.dls error message

Hi,
I have a pc that keeps getting this message, can’t find gm.dls error message or gm16.dls please install directx 7.0a before midi can be used. After seeing the message I updated to directx 9 off ms website. I reinstalled the sound card and it used the drivers from the system. I do not have the motherboard disk to identify the card. There are no markings on the board to tell me the manufacturer or the info the sound card in intergrated. The sound chip on the board is CBox hsp56 cmI8738/pci-sx
