Dear Friends,
I have a windows 2000 box using nortels networks VPN client and Black Ice as a firewall.All TCP/IP addresses have been made in black. The system has a hard coded IP address and is routed across the internet to a VPN server on a large corporate WAN. There are several applications running of which, most are working correctely. My problem is: One application can’t find the server on the WAN. When the win 2000 system is removed from the VPN server and taken on site and connected tothe network, the application all work. To further complicate matters, I have a windows 98 box connected in the same way with the the same applications and connected across the internet through the VPN server and all applications work.
Can anyone suggest why the windows 2000 box can’t find the server for the one application
through the VPN connection??
