I have a windows 2000 pro workstation that is unable to connect to the domain. I recently installed sp2 on it and had some issues so I ran a fast repair on the machine. It booted up fine and I can log on locally, but I couldn’t log onto the domain. So I changed the pc name and changed it from a domain to a workgroup. Then I deleted the old pc name from the domain and tried to add the pc to the domain under a new name. It gives me the following error: “Your computer could not be joined to the domain because the following error has occurred: The interface is unknown.” I can still browse to our file servers and print to some printers. However I can’t add domain users locally or get out on the web from that machine. Any ideas on fixing this would be appreciated.
