Can’t play video

I have a movie I am trying to watch but the problem is that none of the movie players will play it. I have tried about 5 different players. On one of them I got the message about wanting to download codecs from Microsoft, but accidentally closed the window and that message has not come back.

I have downloaded the codecs package frokm Microsoft, but still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?
