Can’t print on W2K Public Workstation

by jdroba . Updated 24 years, 1 month ago

I have 2 W2K machines setup as public workstations. Both are Dells. 1 is a PIII GX150 and the other is PIV GX400. Both share the same policy (tightly locked down). When opening the Internet, on the GX150 the user can go to the pulldown menu, select PRINT, and it works fine. On the PIV, the same selections generate an error “Can’t Print” message. However, the user CAN select the PRINT ICON and prints just fine. This is driving me nuts (not to say the Doctors in the Emergency Room!). the policy has removed the “Folders from Settings on Start Menu” option on BOTH systems. Enabling it on the policy allows the PIV to work properly. I Either way works fine on the PIII. HELP!!
