Can’t see other computers on the network

I removed a faulty system unit from the network, formatted the hard drive and re-installed windows 98.
All the driver for the system board were installed. I connected it back to the network and discover that the system is brouwsing well on internet,OK. but cannot see other computers on the network.There are about 20 computers on the network

When i double click the entire network in the netwok neibourhood icon. instead of showing me other computers, the page is blank. What could be responsible for this?
