Capturing Printer Port

I have old DOS programs. I need to capture a printer port (Ex. LPT3) and map it to \\server\laser.

I have looked everywhere. I don’t have an option to capture a port when I install the printer. Is there something else I need to install? Did Windows 2000 drop the capture port feature?

I am pretty sure I can you the net use LPT3 \\server\laser but I don’t want to have to write login scripts. TOO MANY cliets for that. — Policies are not an option….
