CD-DVD-RAM Not Recoginzed at Startup

My pc came with CD R/RW-DVD-R/RW-RAM drive. I installed another CD drive. Now, every time I start up the PC, the CD drive shows up under “My Computer” but the CD-DVD-RAM drive does not automatically show up. I have to run Control Panel/”Add Hardware” before the drive shows up under “My Computer”.

I checked the BIOS and the CD-DVD-RAM drive is listed. My OS is Windows XP.

Is there anything I can do so that the CD-DVD-RAM drive shows up automatically at startup?
