CD ROM appaears in Bios correctly but not in Windows explorer

Can anybody reply on this problem. My both CDROMs appear correctly in the bios but explorer windows xp is not able to find them.

The device manager shows them but suggests to uninstall the drivers and reinstall. the driver programs look for a cd drive which is not shown in the list and they eventually do not get installed. Can anyone help
