CD-ROM/DVD drive problems

Does anyone know a resource for downloading drivers without having to join some discussion group/club, or paying for a subscription fee? I have a problem with the drivers for both of my cd drives. (Sony CD-ROM CDU5211 & LITE-ON COMBO SOHC-5235K) The system setup/BIOS recognizes them, but when windows comes up, “My Computer” Nor “My Files” can’t see the drives. I examined the cables and the master/slave settings and they don’t seems to be no conflict and the drive moves in and out with the button. The only thing I can figure is the drivers are corrupted. Any suggestions?
