CD-RW problems?

I installed a CD-RW in my computer last year.
At the time it was working fine, but now it will not burn a CD. As I try to burn a CD, it looks like it’s working, but when I try to look at the CD in Windows Explorer the error I get is “Drive not ready”? Any ideas?
