CD-RW Vs.CD-ROM what would you do?

I have a CD-RW 48x12x48 drive only in my computer. Do you advise i put a high speed CD-ROM drive in also to be used to play games, or is a fast CD-RW drive sufficient? Or is the technology in the CD-RW drive not to be used for game-playing, stricklyfor burning CD’s ? What’s your opinion?
