Change drive letter for CD drive Win2K

I currently have a DVD/CD combo drive (read only)
on a PIII-1GHz, Win2K Pro system. I want to install either a CD-RW or DVD-RW (writer)drive as a second drive on the system.

Question:
How do I change the drive letter for the existing
DVD/CD combo drive (drive E:) to another letter,
so that when the second CD-RW or DVD-RW (writer) drive is installed I can make it the E: drive (primary drive) and the CD/DVD read only combo drive something different like (J: drive)????
