Change floppy drive letter b: to a:

I am using an IBM thinpad running Win 2000. I need to change the floppy drive letter B: to A: in order to install a disk partition utility. For the life of me, I can’t change the floppy drive letter from B: to A:. Is there a way I can change the drive letter. Any ideas, and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
