change l2tp wan miniport to pptp

I am trying to access a vpn service on another companies’ w2k server network, if I use win xp with a pptp vpn connection, I can access OK, if I use w2k pro., It installs a l2tp wan miniport by default, and I cannot connect. If I go to network connections it shows that all of the VPN connections I make are l2tp wan miniports. I suspect that the network I am trying to connect to doesn’t support IPSec. How can I change w2k pro so that when I install a vpn connection it will be pptp and not l2tp? Or is there a way to change it after installing to pptp?
