Change Motherboard and CPU for NT server

I am runing a NT 4.0 server on a PII machine and I want to move it to a PIII machine. obviously, I can’t just unplug the hard disc and plus it into the new system. I have tried server ways to do that but none of them worked. Is there anyone had experience for this situation?
