Change motherboard in XP Pro

I’ve upgraded my mother board from an Intel D865GBF to a D915GAV. I booted from the XP Pro CD and went to the Repair prompt. Upon rebooting after the copy, the PC just continually reboots and doesn’t go into the repair procedure as it normally would. The Bootable CD is XP Pro w/SP2. The hard disk is a 160MB Maxtor with approx. 50GIG in use. System has 1MG of DDR-400 ram. Big system lots of hardware, printers scanners, zip, jaz, etc… Any thoughts on what to do to get system to reinstall?
