Change W2K Pro PC name on NT4 Domain

The computer name on the network default to FJLLGJRV after installing W2K pro on an HP vectra. I am trying to make the PC name to something more meaningful however the Computer does not show with the new name under Network Places. It always shows the Netbios default name. I have defined a WINS server and also the DNS, TCPIP settings on the Network Properties icon are defined.
