Changing Drive letters and Shares

by rfwilkinson . Updated 24 years, 3 months ago

I have a server that I need to change the drive letter for the storage drive (e:) to drive d:. It has all of our user$ shares and a few others. Am I correct in my assumption that when you change the drive letter within windows 2000, all the shareswill go away and you have to re-create them by hand? Is there a way to automate the “re-sharing” process?

Thanks in advance for any help with this. It could save me a few hours this weekend.
