OK running chkdsk on your boot drive via Windows creates a log file in “Computer Management” -> “Event Logs” -> “Application” -> “Winlogon” of the relevant time (and date).
However, if you hang another drive off the PC, say a simple IDE “Slave” drive or a USB hard drive, you can run chkdsk just fine.
Problem is I cannot trace any log file created !
Anyone know if one is created and where it might be !!
