Cisco IOS Upgrade help needed.

Hello,
I am trying to upgrade our 2600 router IOS from 12.0 to 12.1.
I would like to find out when I upgrade IOS will I loose all of the configuration settings on the router? And if I will can I just upload config from previous IOS version(12.0)in this case.
