Clashing of SMTP port and the IMailServe

I have Imail Server(Web based mail server) for e-mail delivery but if I want to use SMTP for relaying of message using the programming ,it gives an error stating that “All the servers failed to respond”.
Could anybody give soln for this since I feel that some port of IMail is also using port 25 which is also meant for SMTP.
