Cleaning Registry…HELP !!!

by cyberghost_1 . Updated 21 years, 12 months ago

How safe is it to clean my PC’s Registry? I have various utilities, but I am going to use Ace Utilities. My question is to the SAFETY of deleting the problems found. Even though I am going to back up the Reg before deleting anything, what are the risks that I am facing? For example, if I have an Invalid Data String or File Location, Invalid Data Entry. I have checked over everything and the information seems to be correct for the most part. What recommendations are out there as far as: WHAT IS SAFE TO DELETE AND WHAT IS NOT !!! I have my reservations because of the following: On the Desktop, normally the folder MY DOCUMENTS is present. However, I changed the name of that folder to GOPHER. I also placed the MY RECEIVED FILES folder on my Desktop. Due to this, I have Invalid Data Entries. Also, from moving things around the Reg records everyhting. So would it be safe to delete these Invalid Data Entries without harming my current configurations and programs? I would appreciate any and all input and suggestions ASAP !!!!! Thanks
