Cleaning up Internet browser

I would like to clear all address of my browser? I have cleared all internet temp files and folders of my ‘C’ drive and closed all programs. Defragmented my hard drive and closed down my computer. Then restarted my computer with a reboot disk. I have installed a dbat file. but when my computer restarts and A:\ shows I enter C:\D which is what I thought would clear it up but nothing happens. I have Windows 98 SE. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
