Client Domain?

This is probably a very simple question and has all the overertones of “DUH” to it, but none the less it has me stumped.

I have set up Advance Server 2000 on a small network. When I attemp to install a client it wants to know the client computers domain name. My question is how do you find out the client’s domain name or assign it a doman name?
