Client network logon problem

I’m running a Win2k domain with a mixture of xp, 95 and 98 clients,. The problem is that recently, three pc’s(one 95 and two 98’s) are failing to recognize the cient’s username and password. I have to go to the pc and login as administrator, and then log off before the user can login with their own username and password. How can I resolve this?
