clocks on clients change

I have ten users on LAN with a dell server using winnt 4.0. The clocks on each station looses or gains time at the clock on the workstation. The computers are two years old so I’m not sure if the cmos batteries may need to be changed. Doesn’t winnt use a clock for all of the clients? And were would I find out?
