Cloning a Compaq hard drive

I have attempted to clone a hard drive on a Compaq 1560DM notebook. During cloning, I noticed that the first partition is a “diag” partition, and then it shows 2 other partitions.

After the cloning and the installation of the new hard drive iscomplete, the notebook will not recognize the operating system.

Does anyone have some advice for me on this matter? Your help will be greatly appriciated.
