Cloning HDD…

by cyberghost_1 . Updated 21 years, 6 months ago

I recently had a problem when I cloned a 40 GB HDD to a 80 GB HDD, same brand both 5200 RPM. Using Norton Ghost…The source HDD (30GB) got damaged somehow. The Cloned HDD (80GB) works perfectly. I keep getting a red X message, with no info or any clue as to what program, app or reason. It appears every 10 seconds, or every time I open anything. What is the deal with that? Is it common for the source HDD to be left corrupt after being cloned? Did I make a mistake during the process? I really need help with this because I have to Clone another HDD tomorrow, but the Source HDD has to be left without any problem, so both can be used in a Network…any suggestions?
